Renovation Church is a fast-growing community that is passionate about following Jesus and helping others do the same. We are looking to hire a Worship Leader to lead worship for Renovation Youth on Wednesday evenings, which is our youth ministry program for 6 th – 12 th grade students. We currently have about 150-200 students showing up on Wednesday evenings for Renovation Youth. We are looking to hire someone who has a passion for Jesus and strong giftings and experience in leading worship. Renovation Church is a Bible-believing church and is affiliated with Converge. • Has passion and knowledge in regards to music and worship leading
• Many years of experience in leading worship through singing
• Preferred experience: Proficient to lead worship from one or multiple instruments
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish Vision and Leadership for the Worship of Renovation Youth
• Develop an attainable vision for worship for Renovation Youth
• Create systems and lead change so the vision is met
Lead Wednesday Night Worship and AV for Renovation Youth
• Set up worship center to be prepared for the worship experience of the night, including loading ProPresenter with lyric slides, working with an audio volunteer to run sound, and setting up the stage to meet the worship needs for the evening
• Program the lighting in the worship center for Renovation Youth and recruit / train individuals to run the lighting board on Wednesday evenings
• Build Ableton sessions for Renovation Youth worship
• Lead the worship team practice each Wednesday night before Renovation Youth
• Lead or delegate worship to qualified volunteers during Renovation Youth
• Reset the worship center after Renovation Youth for Sunday morning services
Train Volunteers
• Recruit and audition students or other church members to join the Renovation Youth Worship Team
• Hold rehearsals outside of Wednesday nights as needed to strengthen the Renovation Youth worship team members’ ability
• Support and encourage volunteers on a regular basis
Scheduling
• Oversee schedule creation for Renovation Youth Worship Team
• Choose set list each week of Renovation Youth - ensure volunteers have resources needed to be prepared to play
Meetings and Extra Responsibilities
• Meet regularly with the Creative Director to report strengths and weaknesses of the ministry, to be held accountable for job responsibilities, and also to better develop personal leadership.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and meetings with the creative staff and youth ministry staff.
• Be part of the Sunday morning worship team once a month.
