Pediatric Hospitalist Service - Average daily encounters: 5
- Pediatric Hospitalist shifts are 12 hours in house
- Responsibilities include admission & discharge, patient rounding, and general Pediatric care
- Pediatric services available: Allergy/immunology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General pediatrics, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious disease, Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology (ENT), Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), Surgery, Urology
- Excellent nursing staff, therapists, technicians, and ancillary staff
- Adventist Health White Memorial provides the opportunity to teach in the Family Practice Residency Program
Hospital - Hospital located just east of downtown LA
- 353-bed teaching hospitals with 5 (non-EM) residencies based on campus
- On-Call Services: Gastroenterology, in-patient Psychiatry, in-patient Pediatrics, anesthesiology, podiatry, FM, IM, ICU, OBGYN, Surgery, Ortho, Neurosurgery, GI, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, ENT, Interventional Radiology, Neurology, Interventional Neurology, Urology, Interventional Cardiology
- Excellent ED nurses, techs, and ancillary staff

- ED Beds: Licensed for 28 ED beds; designated fast track and advanced urgent care with monitored beds area as well
- Staffing Model:
- 50 hours of physician coverage daily
- 40 hours of APP coverage daily

- Teaching opportunities with the 5 AHWM residency programs

- Pediatrician will be responsible for rounding on all pediatric inpatients and newborn needs within the hospital.
- Work 7 days on / 7 days off. No nights coverage; Limited night call
- Accepting new grad or experienced provider.
- Recruiting a BC/BE pediatrician or Med/Ped to newly established pediatric hospitalist program.
Salary - Estimated 1099 base pay range of $100/hour to $134/hour.
