Mount Sinai Doctors FPA Mount Sinai-Harlem Health Center is looking for a Medical Director!

The Mount Sinai Health System is looking for the inaugural Medical Director of the newly-opened Sinai Doctors FPA Mount Sinai-Harlem Health Center—the culmination of several years of strategic planning. The Center embodies Mount Sinai’s desire to have at the Center a 21st Century model of care delivery, centered around collaborative and thoughtful services and a disciplined and sustained focus on the patient experience.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership - Engagement of the local community and patient-related organizations, with a focus on developing a highly collaborative approach to care aligned with locally perceived needs. Clinical programs under the role’s oversight will include:
a. Institute of Advanced Medicine practice
b. Sinai Doctors FPA Multi-specialty practice
c. Sinai Doctors FPA Harlem Health Center Primary Care
d. Sinai Doctors FPA Behavioral Health; 
Support of strategic program growth and integration with the defined goals of making the Harlem Health Center a recognized clinical center of excellence, a destination for the local community and a model of care within the Mount Sinai Health System.

2. Operational Support - Oversight of all operational, personnel and care delivery facets within the Center’s scope of care. Management of daily operations. Maintenance of accreditation. Regular review of Revenue Cycle and Patient Satisfaction reports to identity issues and provide corrective action plans. Support and development of population-based approaches to underserved at-risk patient communities. Active engagement and collaboration with hospital, Department and FPA leadership to ensure robust mission and operational alignment. Review and dissemination of Center performance metrics, such as CG-CAHPS Patient Satisfaction, Patient Flow, Disease Outcomes and Productivity reports no less frequently than monthly. Active participation in MSM/MSWW FPA Steering Committee monthly meetings. These duties may be modified from time to time by your Chair/Director based on Institutional needs.

3. Clinical Research - The Harlem Health Center has been identified as a potential key site to grow the clinical research program of the MSMW Department of Medicine. It is our expectation the HHC Medical Director will be engaged in identifying opportunities to participate in clinical trials and will advance a culture where this is understood as an important part of the work.

4. Education - It is expected the Medical Director will actively participate in the academic activities of the Department by attending the Grand Rounds and other regularly scheduled conferences. This will also include facilitating an environment at the Harlem Health Center where trainees and students will experience a welcoming, education-forward learning milieu. This will include medical students, housestaff, fellows and, potentially, administrative and APP trainees.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications: 
• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve
• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
• Compensation range from $225 to $300K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
