Job Summary: - The Dispatcher exercises joint flight release responsibilities with the flight crew.
- The Dispatcher is responsible for planning the safe and efficient operation in accordance with federal aviation regulations and company flight manuals.
- The Dispatcher preplans daily flight operations and informs appropriate personnel concerning changes in flight status.
- The Dispatcher validates suitability of crew and aircraft for each scheduled departure.
- The Dispatcher coordinates the optimum utilization of aircraft and crews during irregular operation(s).
- The Dispatcher is responsible to stay informed of the status of all assigned flights during their shift.
- The Dispatcher exercises joint release responsibility with the pilot in command within the operational control system to safely plan and release each flight.
What You'll Do: - Provides the highest level of safety and service for all Flight Crews, passengers and employees by creating accurate, compliant flight-plans to include routing, weight & balance, and aircraft performance.
- Assesses departure/arrival weather to determine trip feasibility.
- Communicates with passengers/support staff and alters aircraft destinations as necessary.
- Files flight-plans with the Air Traffic Control System.
- Utilizes all available tools to ensure safety and regulatory compliance are met or exceeded.
- Exercises joint release responsibility in conjunction with the flight crew in the interest of safety.
- Anticipates and proactively takes action to resolve future trip/dispatch events, situations, and opportunities.
- Flight Following as workload allows.
- Continuously looks for best practices and ways to integrate process improvement and efficiencies in the job function.
- Coordinates with "handlers" for all international travel.
What We're Looking For: - 14 CFR Part 121 dispatch license preferred
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience

- Thorough knowledge of weather theory, charts, and reports in the METAR format including TAF's and NOTAMs.
- Must have knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, with an emphasis on Parts 91, 91K and 135.
- Internship or prior work experience with an airline, FBO, flight department or airport is beneficial.
