WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are seeking an Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and maintaining in-room AV and video conferencing systems, ensuring reliable and high-quality experiences for end users. This position will serve as an escalation point for AV-related issues, handling complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and the resolution of both hardware and software failures. In addition to day-to-day operational support, the technician will assist with commissioning efforts for AV systems in retrofit and new office projects. The ideal candidate will proactively identify recurring issues, analyze trends, and help drive improvements to enhance overall service reliability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary on-site technician with the knowledge and skillset to resolve 99% of in-room issues.
  • Act as the primary user-facing point of contact for all VC-related issues.
  • Provide strong client-level support with a focus on de-escalating technical failures.
  • Perform break/fix (user-reported incident) tasks within the target SLA response window.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on all VC equipment to ensure 99% uptime and address core issues.
  • Maintain accurate tagging and data entry for all tasks, projects, and service requests.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with workplace services, facilities, events management, IT, and other teams.
  • Deliver white glove VC technical support for C-suite and high-level management.
  • Provide VC-focused support for high-profile events.
  • Perform root cause analysis for network-related call escalation issues.
  • Actively monitor local and global VC endpoints and related hardware.
  • Partner with client teams to support deployment and commissioning efforts.
  • Track inventory of on-site supplies, consumables, and assets.
  • Stay current on industry-standard hardware and proprietary tools.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Ability to be self-motivated and accountable in a fast-paced, independent environment.
  • Ability to think creatively as well as methodically regarding technical issues.
  • Knowledge of Zoom, Cisco, Logitech, QSys, Crestron, Shure, and other AV/VC hardware, including tools and platforms to support each. (Zoom Dashboard, Cisco Control Hub, Crestron Xio, Logisync, QSys Designer, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to client culture.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as with a team.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting large/heavy objects and physical integration/maintenance work.
