Vascular Access Nurse Consultant - PICC RN VIC the PICC (VTP) is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services for acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post‑access support services – including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting – and continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers. VTP is available on‑site and mobile throughout the Western and Southern United States, delivering innovative, affordable and easy‑to‑procure services with high levels of client and patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance and ECG confirmation. Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices. Provide a wide range of vascular access support services – including but not limited to port access, line removal, declotting, and other related tasks. Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and other central venous access devices. Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve venous access issues and facilitate treatment objectives. Travel to customer facilities as required; be able to fulfill scheduling requirements, including three to four days per week with weekends and holiday rotation for full‑time; at least four scheduled shifts per month for part‑time. Training and Experience Requirements Experienced in ultrasound‑guided IV placement and vascular access device insertions. Prior training available for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience. Full‑time positions consider fully trained vascular access nurses; additional training is offered for those with strong USGIV skills. Nurse Consultant Qualifications Registered Nurse with a current license. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in acute care (preferred). American Heart Association BLS certification. Experience placing ultrasound‑guided IVs and other vascular access devices. Experience in vascular access device management – care, maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to work independently. Possess a current and valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and a smartphone. Compensation Hourly Pay Range: $60 USD – $75 USD.
