We currently have a client in Robbinsdale , MN looking for an Operating Room RN(OR RN) !

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling OR RN to work as an Operating room nurse (or perioperative nurse) to assist surgeons during operations and keep the operating room sterile at all times.

Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary/Travel/Contract)
Shift: 5x8 Rotating

Candidates need to possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of operating procedures and patient safety. Being Compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite for the profession. The ideal Candidates goes a step further by being a critical thinker and fast to act with emergencies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
• Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
• In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
• AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns
• Monitor patient’s vital signs to detect anomalies
• Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned
• Evaluate patient in postoperative phases
• Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation

Work Experience: At least 2 years of OR experience
