Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities. This position requires expertise in EKG and remote monitoring along with the ability to float across different facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry environment.


• Monitor and interpret patient telemetry data.


• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.


• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.


• Maintain a patient-nurse ratio of 1:5-6.


• Prepare patients for procedures and assist in post-operative care.


• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and community resources.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit.


• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.


• Current and valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.


• Previous charge RN experience is preferred.


• Experience with Epic charting system is required.


• Pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance, with a maximum of 2 attempts.
