SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT: DETAILS
Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Nashville TN (Berry Hill area)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $35-$40/hr.
Type: Contract opportunity (potential to go through January)
Hours: Standard Business Hours | Monday - FridayHybrid schedule
REQUIREMENTS: SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* 3+ years of experience in accounting or related field
* Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principals and practices
* Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
RESPONSIBILITIES: SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
* Conduct monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
* Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement
* Ensure compliance with accounting principals, regulations, and company policies
* Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors as needed
