Salesforce Business Systems Analyst III

Position Summary
Salesforce BSA III will report directly to the Salesforce Administration Technology Manager.
This role will require the candidate to collaborate with all Business Operations teams supporting the business needs while creating long term efficient Salesforce products. These solutions will meet the needs of internal and external staff, and serves as a means of improving Auction.coms business processes, while promoting transparency within the marketplace.

Through those engagements the Salesforce BSA III will ensure that team goals and directives are successfully met, and all team processes are managed efficiently and effectively.

Salesforce BSA III should be active when needed in all of the following:

  • Documentation of process, planned proposals, etc
  • Long-range requirements
  • Operational guidelines
  • Security and data protection.
  • UAT
  • Production releases


Responsibilities/Duties

  • Proposes and implements enhancements that will meet the needs of business users and conform to design standards instituted by the SFDC team
  • Assist and troubleshoot user requests and participate in support queue management.
  • Assist business users with data management by performing data quality checks and updates when issues arise
  • Create Jira user stories and assist with sprint release process
  • Ability to facilitate requirements gathering work-sessions with business users.
  • Ability to facilitate user testing sessions and UAT sign-off working sessions.
  • Collaborates with the SFDC team in maintaining and supporting security and integrity controls
  • Assists business users in developing policies, procedures and standards relating to database management to ensure system performance.
  • Assist with Salesforce enhancements ranging from creating and/or updating Fields, Objects,
  • Contributes to generating and maintaining technical documentation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Able to perform process analysis and lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders
  • Comfortable generating business process documentation to support solution design and testing
  • Able to independently evaluate requirements and identify a solution
  • Able to write well defined user stories and technical tickets for development, whether completed by them or handed off to another technical resource
  • Able to independently configure solutions within Salesforce
  • Able to draft test cases and facilitate User Acceptance Testing sessions with business stakeholders for large projects
  • Able to build their own pull requests for movement of changes through pipeline and testing in multiple environments
  • Maintains an advanced working knowledge of Salesforce platform, declarative development, and Setup configuration
  • Able to independently monitor Salesforce platform performance and provide suggestions for improvements
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the beginning of creative strategic-thinking skills
  • Solid organizational skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and provide assessment of priority and importance of requests

Education/Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business, Real Estate or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant Salesforce work experience
  • Experience with Agile methodology and the SDLC
  • Experience using SOQL query tools and data loader applications
  • Experience working with ETL tools

Certifications Required

  • Plus one more certification, such as Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Business Analyst, or equivalent
