Job Description :
Natural-born leader? Buddies with top media? Super strong writer? Passionate about pitching? Then this position is for you! DCI is seeking an Account Manager in our economic development marketing practice.

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years public relations and/or journalism experience require;: prior agency experience preferred
• Exceptionally creative, AP-style writer
• Strong understanding of public relations strategy and the ability to craft, present and defend a media strategy to a client and oversee its implementation
• Identify and develop a story angle when there is no clear hook. Able to draft a concise pitch to national print and broadcast reporters
• Manage and oversee multiple client accounts, serving as the main point of contact for clients, setting the strategy and overseeing its implementation from start to finish, and project managing the internal service team to ensure program deliverables are met
• Manage & mentor a team
• Proof of established relationships with print and broadcast contacts in the U.S. and success in landing high-profile media placements
• Strong experience in managing workflow
• Mentoring junior staff
• Experience with managing a budget and meeting deliverables
• Ability to travel at least 1 week per month if required
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or have all necessary approvals to live/work in the U.S.
• BA/BS
