Job Description:

Develops advanced dashboards, visualizations and reports in PowerBI and other visualization tools for decision making by stakeholders. Responsible for knowledge sharing of Data Analytics best practices to the broader company. Collaborates with business units and management to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data capture and reporting across the business. Provides expertise and support to co-workers using corporate self-service data visualization capabilities.

• Develops advanced dashboards, visualizations and reports in PowerBI
• Engineer and produce KPIs and metrics that demonstrate business effectiveness in a variety of areas. Builds ad hoc and regular metrics on key performance measures.
• Preprocess and analyze data through various automation tools - Python, Data Studio, SQL, Excel
• Creates and maintains data pipelines and data flows that take raw data sets and transforms them into clean, usable output data sets.
• Ensures analytical reports are developed, tested, and published to production within the designated Data Analytics process timeframe.
• Maintains data hygiene by ensuring quality assurance efforts, defines logic for attribution and equations for calculated metrics.
• Recommends measures to improve efficiency, user adoption and/or quality of Data Analytics services and deliverables.
• Partners with developers to design and build long-term data solutions.
• Develops and maintains relevant areas of corporate data dictionary and maintains inventory of data needs and system interface needs.
• Educates and trains non-data team members about how to access, analyze, and visualize data
• Shares expertise with cross functional departments on data tools and techniques and practices in telling a concise story on data analytic deliverables. May present conclusions and recommendations to Senior Management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
• 5-10 years of overall work experience, 2+ years experience in the areas of data analytics, developing dashboards and data models

Other Job Specific Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Experience with various automation tools - Python, Data Studio, SQL, Excel
• Experience with extracting and transforming data using dataflows, pipelines and Power BI modeling tools
• Ability to decompose KPIs and metrics into orchestrated technical components, that capture appropriate the data, metadata, and/or events to compose the KPI or metric in the desired timeframe or interval
• Able to collaborate across the company with all levels of management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal direction and focus on delivering results in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to create achievable project plans, adhere to timeline of project deliverables, and secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the project stakeholders
