Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced General Education Teacher with strong skills in math and reading instruction to support K-8 students in an afterschool program setting. The position is located in Chicago, IL and offers a part-time schedule of 7.5 hours per week for the contract school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted reading and math intervention and tutoring to students in grades K-8
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to individual student needs
• Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with school staff to align afterschool activities with classroom learning goals
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching general education, with a focus on math and reading
• Ability to design and implement intervention programs for diverse learners
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage students
• Knowledge of K-8 curriculum standards and instructional best practices
• Flexibility to work part-time in an afterschool setting, approximately 7.5 hours per week
