Overview Jack in the Box - TEAM LEADER role at Giants Baseball & Softball Camps POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible, as the first-line operational supervisor, for training and leading team members in delivering an exceptional guest experience, including ensuring great tasting/quality food, executing on 20/20 guest expectations, and ensuring compliance with all Jack in the Box procedures, systems and standards. Responsibilities Hassle Free: Always says "YES" to the guest and works with the team to help solve problems; follows the 3-steps (Listens, Says Sorry, Makes it Right) if a problem occurs; uses JIB Smart Selling standards as appropriate. Trains and coaches team members using the Guest Expectations training materials. Models calm and productive behavior during busy times. Coaches team members to ensure they are knowledgeable on job requirements. Neat and Well-Groomed: Hold team members accountable to the JIB uniform and grooming standards and coach non-compliance; model a professional appearance and ensure uniforms are clean and presentable. Friendly: Model and coach a positive, friendly attitude and behaviors; follow the JIB Hospitality Model. Well-Staffed: Maintain restaurant cleanliness, assist with order taking and cashiering during busy times, ensure staff are prepared to serve guests, and follow scheduled hours, breaks, and timekeeping policies. Food Tastes Great: Monitor food quality, presentation, temperature, and consistency; retrain as needed. Consistent and Quick Service: Model urgency and assist with order taking and cashiering during busy times; coach the team to deliver fast, consistent service. Order Accuracy: Model effective communication and teamwork to ensure accurate orders; follow up on errors and drive continuous improvement. Food Safety: Follow food safety and quality policies; complete the Food Safety Checklist each shift. Brand Ambassador and Focus on the Guest: Represent the brand with pride; treat guests and employees with care and respect; anticipate guest needs and address concerns proactively; maintain a guest-focused environment. Team Skills: Foster teamwork, maintain composure under pressure, lead diverse teams, and manage floor resources to ensure compliance with JIB standards and labor laws. Commitment: Thrive in a fast-paced environment; uphold restaurant systems, ensure food safety/quality, and drive accountability. Front of Restaurant: Supervising guest service, interior and exterior cleanliness, and ensuring orders are prepared timely and accurately; includes dine-in and drive-thru duties. Supervision: Operate workstation training, guest service training, and leadership activities; onboard and train staff; provide feedback and recognition; monitor personal and uniform cleanliness. Back of Restaurant: Supervision of grill, assembly, prep, fryer, interior, exterior, and receiving/storage duties to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. Qualifications Experience 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes, or 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Must be at least 18 years old; complete Team Leader training classes; in some states, ServSafe certification may be required. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking); knowledge of basic math; ability to work with diverse teams; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; self-starter with initiative; basic computer skills; integrity and ethical behavior. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for 90–95% of shift; be able to lift/carry 15–25 lbs; able to listen to orders, operate a cash register, and read video monitors.
