Overview Position Summary: Responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Develops team to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees; monitors staffing levels; ensures systems for training employees on workstations are implemented and adhered to; identifies internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions. Executes the Service Profit Chain and the brand promise; maintains an employee-friendly, safe, and clean restaurant environment; motivates and recognizes employees; ensures compliance with state and federal labor laws and regulations. External Service: Manages daily operations to deliver excellent guest service and food quality; trains and holds the team accountable for consistent delivery; maintains brand image of cleanliness, maintenance, and service; responds to guest concerns professionally and ensures positive resolutions; serves as a role model for guest service. Sales & Profits: Uses management information tools to analyze performance (I&E, quality and service reports, health inspections, HACCP, etc.); identifies trends, develops action plans, and collaborates with regional resources as needed; focuses on increasing restaurant sales and profitability by executing the Service Profit Chain; monitors costs and adherence to budget and restaurant goals. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications Education : High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience : Internal Promote – Minimum 1+ years as an Associate Manager and/or 2 years as a First Assistant Manager; must be 100% certified in all workstations. External Recruit – Minimum 3 years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities : Must be at least 18; complete Restaurant Manager training; ServSafe certified; proficient in English; strong interpersonal, math, analytical, organization, and planning skills; self-starter; PC proficiency; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for bank deposits and site visits; demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior. Physical Requirements : Ability to stand/walk 85–95% of shift; lift/carry 10–65 lbs; operate restaurant equipment and computer.
