St. Charles Community College seeks a part-time Head Coach - eSports responsible for the administration of all aspects of the eSport programs including coaching, recruiting, student-athlete mentoring and ensuring program compliance with the NJCAA, MCCAC and College rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Achieving a high level of competence in sport skill instruction, motivation, and conduct of practice sessions.
* Providing effective sport instruction during meets.
* Recruiting student-athletes effectively under the direction of the Athletic Director.
* Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NJCAA, MCCAC, College and the Department of Athletics Code of Conduct.
* Achieving competitive results that demonstrate athletic excellence.
* Demonstrating a sincere interest in the social, emotional, academic development, as well as the athletic welfare of student-athletes.
* Exhibiting supportive and cooperative behavior in pursuing sport program goals established by the Athletic Director.
* Exhibiting leadership and professional behavior in dealing with student-athletes.
* Completing all assignments given by the Director of Athletics including but not limited to recruitment and fundraising.
* Participating in department meetings and workshops to increase professional skills and knowledge.
* Contributing to the maintenance of good working relationships within the Athletic Department and with the rest of the college community.
* Assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree.
* Coaching experience at the college level (head/assistant), head or assistant coach at the senior high school level, or as a college or professional player.
* Demonstrate effective organizational, promotional, recruitment, fundraising, and computer skills.
* Knowledge of PrestoSports.
* Experience with NJCAA compliance matters.
* Experience with NJCAA rules and regulations.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills.
