I n this temporary role, you’ll be an essential part of our mission to inspire creativity and imagination in children throughout the world with thoughtfully designed toys that spark free play.

Role Overview:
We are seeking part-time, temporary Brand Ambassadors to be located in The Westchester Mall and report to the General Manager of our first ever Pop-Up store. Brand Ambassadors are responsible for generating sales and building customer relationships in our retail stores, they are friendly, energetic and above all customer service oriented. You will be responsible for maintaining the visual and housekeeping standards of the store. This will include supporting management with receiving new merchandise, processing, and presentation to the selling floor. The associate must have an ability to successfully operate our point-of-sale (POS) register system and operate our email system.

Brand Ambassadors will be the front-line representatives of Melissa & Doug to our consumers, bringing the product to life through engagement and entertainment. The Pop-Up store will be open from early October through mid/late April.

Responsibilities:

• Be a Brand Ambassador, providing the ultimate customer service experience through a warm greeting, engaging conversation and superior product knowledge
• Assist management team with merchandising the store as new products arrive weekly
• Provide the customer with a beautiful and engaging environment and maintain the store according to company visual standards
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of the product features and benefits to maximize the sales opportunity
• Responsible for client development beyond the initial transaction; utilizing phone, email & written follow-up contact
• Ensure all functions of the store are maintained to support superior shopping experiences
• Leverage computer skills to operate the Point of Sale (POS) register and email systems

Qualifications:

• A sales-driven, goal-oriented individual who is extremely personable
• Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move objects weighing up to 15 pounds when merchandising the sales floor and use ladders or stairs
• Have a positive, high-energy, friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality
• 1+ years of prior experience in retail sales
• Experience working with children in a learning capacity/environment preferred
• Experience with Shopify Plus platform is preferred
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Ability to work 20+ hours per week
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Store Hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 10am-8pm
• Friday & Saturday: 10am-9pm
• Sunday: 12pm-6pm

*Please note these hours will change when The Westchester announces their extended holiday hours. Our Pop-Up Store is scheduled to run from early October, 2023 through the middle of April, 2024.

Pay Range:

• $17-$20 per hour

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and other relevant factors.
